You can use some Google Home app functionalities via Google Chrome but you can’t set up Google Home devices from the browser. The browser is only limited to media casting, but if you want to do more than that, you’ll need an Android emulator. The Google Home app is a handy way to view and control your gadgets. The app is designed to work with iOS and Android devices only, meaning you’ll have to use another workaround to use Google Home app on a computer.

In Linux, the Home key has basically the same functionality as it does on Windows. Also, like Windows, the Home key can be used to select all the characters before the cursor in a certain line if pressed along with ⇧ Shift in editable text. In modern Microsoft Windows text editing applications, it is primarily used to return the cursor to the beginning of the line where the cursor is located. When the text is not editable, the Home key is used to return to the beginning of the document; this can also be done in editable text if the key is pressed along with Control. If you click on the HomePod, you’ll find that iTunes is now remote controlling the HomePod, with its volume and navigation buttons acting directly on that device.
The key has the opposite effect of the End key. In limited-size keyboards where the Home key is missing the same functionality can be reached via the key combination of Fn+←. Other tiles on this screen are Apple devices you can control remotely—Apple TV models as well as HomePod.
Ctrl+Home
IOS 16.2 is now available for the iPhone 8 and newer following two months of beta testing. How to use the Home app on Mac
The Up Next and History lists in the player will reflect what’s happening on the HomePod, and you can add tracks to the Up Next list from Apple Music. Even the iTunes mini player reflects what’s happening on the HomePod, and your media-key shortcuts will now control the HomePod directly. Once you've added your devices to the Home app, you can edit the information for them on your iOS device or Mac. On your iPhone or iPad, press and hold an accessory, then tap Settings.
Steve Jobs mantra from the beginning was to keep it simple, as witnessed by the 1-button mouse. But over-simplification is now looking more complicated for the end user. With voice control dictation you can simultaneously use the keyboard and trackpad to move around the text doing edits/insertions, etc., and the dictation does not shut off.

Some of our clients use the MAC connector to connect to our vWorkspace VDI environment. We have setup a screensaver that locks the screen after some minutes. On a windows PC, the user can press CTRL-ALT-END to unlock the screen. Hey folks, I use an app called BetterTouchTool which allows you to reprogram gestures and all kinds of things. After reading this article and all the comments , I have to disagree with the author referring to these keys as “extraneous keys”. It would have been a lot simpler if Apple had just put them on the keyboard in the first place, including a numeric keypad.
